I’ve been saying for a year that the Neighborhood at MT NBA 2K19 has to be more interactive. Document this thought under the exalted visions tab but envision a mode only found in the 2K Zone that opened a battle royale concept. For people who are unaware of exactly what a battle royale is, allow me to briefly clarify the genre.
Essentially, it’s a survival-based mode where multiple players have been placed on a map and also are tasked with scavenging for tools while attempting to eliminate other people on the map. Usually, the winner is the participant who’s the last one standing. How can you implement something similar to that in a basketball game?
I am happy you asked.
Evidently, this is a basketball match, so there aren’t any kills and if you consider it, there’s no way the NBA would sign off on a game with gunplay. But, that does not kill my battle royale basketball idea.
The manner would unlock a post-apocalyptic version of this Neighborhood map. Rotting basketball courts, tattered buildings, and other alternative structures could comprise the scene.
The objective would be to maneuver throughout the neighborhood scoring a number of baskets on many of visible and somewhat hidden hoops. Some are large, some are low. Some are indoors and some are out. The tougher the shot, the more points you get.
By way of instance, if you find a hoop beside the building your MyPlayer lives in, you can move all of the way back to the Gatorade gym and try to sink long-range bombs. Making this type of shot would result in a large number of points for your total.
The object is to score sufficient points to avoid the removal windows and closing regions of the Neighborhood (like the thinning of those safe areas away in the storm in Fortnite). In this example, the thinning area would be substituted by closing hours for the various locations.
The first window may eliminate anyone who doesn’t have at least 50 points. The second cutoff might be 75. The next 100 and then the final wave could cut off at 200. Together with the available area of the Neighborhood having dwindled down to a single courtroom or hoop area, the close of every round would function as a free-for-all of types with each gamer for themselves.
You’d be able to block yet another gamer’s shot, steal the ball perhaps knock off their shot course by getting your basketball collide with theirs. Obviously, there will be dunks and layups as nicely with very nasty dunks counting to get an increased number of points.
It is an open-world form of the classic real-life hoops game, knockout. This could be an addictive option for 2K players and reddit game discuss another mode that brings casual hoops fans.
