NFA Short Film Prize

Honouring emerging excellence in storytelling through the power of short film.

The National Film Awards Short Film Prize is one of the most anticipated segments of the awards season — a platform dedicated to celebrating visionary short-form storytelling. Whether experimental, narrative, animated, or documentary, this prize showcases fresh voices and future legends of cinema.

Each year, the shortlisted finalists are selected by the National Film Academy and voted for by the public, culminating in a prestigious presentation during the official awards ceremony.
