Registering for a Nomination

A step-by-step guide to nominating for the prestigious National Film & TV Awards.

Note: The nomination process is divided into two official tracks:

  • Public Nominations – submitted by fans and general audiences
  • Production Submissions – submitted by studios, networks, PR agencies, and film teams

➤ Public Nominations

Do you have a favourite actor, TV show, film, or production that deserves recognition? The public plays a key role in identifying some of the best talent in the industry.

What to include in your nomination:

  • Full name of the person or title of the production
  • The category you’re nominating them for (e.g., Best Actor, Best Director)
  • A short reason why you believe they deserve the award
📩 Submissions: Public nominations can be sent via email to:
academy@nationalfilmawards.co.uk
Nomination periods are announced publicly on our homepage and social media.

➤ Industry & Production Company Submissions

Production companies, networks, PR representatives, and studios can submit their films, series, or talent for consideration. This mirrors global awards protocols (such as Cannes), providing an opportunity for structured entry into the judging process.

What to prepare:

  • Press kit or screener link (if applicable)
  • Details of the submission (film, show, performer, or team)
  • Category(ies) submitted for
  • Contact information for the submitting organisation
