Each year, the National Film Academy presents the prestigious NFA Icon Award to one legendary individual who has made an outstanding contribution to film and television. Past recipients include Dame Helen Mirren, Samuel L. Jackson, and Dame Judi Dench.

This year, we want to hear from you. As the NFA Icon Award remains one of the few People’s Choice lifetime honours in British entertainment, the decision lies with the fans. The award will be presented live at the 11th Annual National Film Awards UK on 3rd July 2025 at Porchester Hall, London.

Nomination Criteria

• Nominee must be British or a long-time contributor to British cinema or television
• Must have at least 20 years of impactful work in film and/or television
• Recognised for inspiring future generations of actors, filmmakers, and creatives
• Demonstrates excellence both on-screen and off-screen
